Basics

Will hemp affect the pet like cannabis? Will the pet get high?

No, there is nothing in hemp nor in anibidiol® that could give the pet a hallucinogenic experience. Unlike cannabis, hemp contains only trace amounts of THC, the hallucinogenic compound, and is naturally high in CBD. CBD is the non-psychoactive component that in cannabis moderates the hallucinogenic properties of THC. Thus, a hemp product containing high CBD and trace amounts of THC does not have the negative side effects such as lethargy, memory issues, anxiety, hallucinations, and balance issues associated with high THC cannabis.

Hemp based products which contain CBD support the pet behavior balance and mature pets might be moving around more easily after use.

Is anibidiol® safe for the pet to use?

Yes, anibidiol® is THC-free1 and is safe.

What is the safety evidence of CBD and THC?

A comprehensive literature review of 132 original studies (including both humans and animal studies) found that CBD is safe and well tolerated2:

  • CBD does not have an effect on food intake, psychomotor or psychological functions, gastrointestinal transit, nor on physiological parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature.
  • There was no evidence that CBD induces catalepsy.
  • CBD is non-toxic in non-transformed cells.

THC, on the other hand, is not safe to administer to pets as they have a different metabolism and distribution of CB receptors than humans. THC toxicity can be serious and prevent the pet from standing or eating.

anibidiol® is THC free1

How long after feeding the pet anibidiol® should I see a benefit?

Each animal is different, and owners notice varying times for the benefits to occur. They should take time to watch their pet and observe its reactions closely. Please note that it may take a few days to recognize the pet’s relief, relaxation and behavioral change. The full scale of benefits are seen over longer periods. We feel cannabinoid nutrition is a way of life, a vital element of the pet’s daily diet.

Should the pet take anibidiol® daily?

Yes, anibidiol® is designed as a regularly administered food supplement containing natural full-plant hemp extract as well as hemp seed oil. In addition to cannabidiol (CBD), the product includes the fatty acids Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9, terpenes, flavonoids and other herbal active ingredients. Because each of these ingredients undergoes natural metabolism in the body, it is recommended that pets take the products daily at roughly the same time preferably in the mornings.

What is the shelf life for anibidiol®?

anibidiol® has been manufactured to standards which allow it to be used up to two years after its manufacturing date if stored correctly.

How long does a serving last?

We recommend for maximum efficacy that each serving should be used as soon as the sachet is opened. However, if the sachet is rolled up, sealed and stored correctly the product should remain viable for 24 hours.
